Ari Spector, LMHCA

Ari Spector, LMHCA

Hi, I’m Ari (he/him), a licensed mental health counselor based at The Center’s Seattle office.
I work with individuals ages 13 and up in both individual and group settings, and I welcome people from all walks of life who are navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I’m here to support you with care and compassion.

My approach is grounded in humanistic therapies like existential, person-centered, and Gestalt therapy. These approaches focus on your unique experience and inner strengths. At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens through a trusting, authentic therapeutic relationship. I’m very relationship-focused, and I see our connection as a key part of the healing process—one that can help foster insight, growth, and lasting self-acceptance.

Cultural sensitivity is central to my practice. I deeply respect the diverse backgrounds and identities my clients bring into the room. Therapy is never a “one size fits all” process, and I approach each client with openness, curiosity, and a commitment to honoring your unique cultural context. I’m always eager to learn and grow alongside my clients in ways that support their values and lived experiences.

I earned my master’s in counseling from the University of Puget Sound and completed my clinical training at Valley Cities Behavioral Health. I continued working there after graduation, supporting underserved communities and gaining experience with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here to support you in finding greater clarity, connection, and a stronger sense of yourself.
