Treatment approaches:
Dr. Laverdure works from a whole person perspective and uses components primarily
from a Cognitive Behavioral and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT)
framework. She uses evidence based practices in order to treat various psychological
concerns using methods including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT),
Prolonged Exposure (PE) and more.

Dr. Laverdure has a diverse background including spending 9+ years in the school
systems performing consulting, parent trainings, and educational disability evaluations
before returning for her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. During clinical training, in
addition to generalist skills, Dr. Laverdure focused on expanding her clinical assessment
skills (to include neuropsychological screenings) and honing skills for trauma focused
therapy.

Prior to arriving at the Center, Dr. Laverdure worked for the Dept of Veterans Affairs
working with military veterans and focusing on PTSD and other trauma disorders,
including sexual trauma, combat trauma, and childhood trauma. She is an LGBTQ+
affirming provider.
