At The Center for Family and Lifespan Development and The Center for Psychological Health, we treat autism throughout the lifespan. That means we treat patients of all ages, wherever they are in their journey. At our Seattle autism center, we provide autism testing, develop psychological treatment plans, and provide medication management that’s catered to the needs of each individual.
Whether you’re looking for an initial autism evaluation, or already have an autism diagnosis and are in need of additional support, our autism center can help guide you to the appropriate services and resources.
We Treat Teens & Adults with Autism
We treat patients of all ages with autism, but we especially focus on serving the unique needs of teens and adults with autism. These are two groups of people often underserved in the autism community, and few psychologists are trained to treat their specific needs.
As we grow from children into teens, and then adults, we all face challenges as the world places higher expectations on us to develop independence. These challenges are not unique to those with autism, but they often face additional barriers due to their unique psychology. These challenges often become apparent as teens go off to college, attempt to develop relationships, or seek employment. For adults, these unique challenges can arise in marriages or work-place settings.
At The Center for Family and Lifespan Development and The Center for Psychological Health , our staff are specially trained to help teens with autism transition into adulthood, and develop independence. We help adults with autism to navigate relationships, and find freedom in their lives. Our goal is to empower our patients to face their challenges, build rewarding relationships, and live inspiring lives.
